You Are Not Broken – Naima B. Robert

For the ones who have lost a love, remember this…
You are still you.
You have always been you.
You are still whole, even though it may not feel like it right now.

Whatever you had to offer of love, care, understanding, support, affection: it’s still yours.
And it’s still within your capacity to give it to whomever you choose, whenever you choose to, by Allah’s grace.
Your cup runneth over, by His grace.

You are still here, arguably stronger and more confident than before, by His grace.
Your heart is still whole.
Your faith is still strong.
Your zest for life is still alive.
By His grace.

Take this time to develop a new appreciation of yourself and what you bring to your relationships.
How you’ve grown.
What you’ve learned.
How far you’ve come.
The person you became along the way.
Decide to like the man you have become.

Decide to like the woman you have become.
Decide to forgive that man.
Decide to forgive that woman.
They are loveable. They are likeable. They are worthy of care and respect.
So much better is coming their way.

Now take a deep breath and feel that deep in your bones.

A little reminder from your sister on the journey.
I see you.
I love you.
